Stormy’s Adventures. Happy Hounds, Crowborough.

By Stormy the Dog.

My best friend’s Dad might be re-homing another lady dog called Noodles who is very nervous.

We have been spending time with her and her family at dog fields.

I think she fancies me, but she’s too big and I just want to play with my ball, so I just ignore her when she tries it on.

Noodles

We all decided to visit a new secure dog field in Crowborough, Sussex for a change. It’s called Happy Hounds.

They have two fields, both around five acres, one with 4ft 6in high fencing and the other with 5 ft-6ft high fencing.

Each one has a security padlock and you’re given a code to get in.

The field we were in had parking and a pre-poo area where we could do our business before entering the main area. Mum picked it up in a poo bag and dropped it in the bin.

This area is to encourage people to clean up after their dogs as a surprising number of them don’t bother!

I couldn’t contain my excitement because I could see a giant ball up the hill of the field. As soon as the gate opened, I was off and I spent a lot of the 50 minutes trying to get it in my mouth.

Oh the mud!

And I enjoyed having a number of mud baths, much to my mum’s annoyance as she was using a white hire car while her car was in the garage!

My friend Mya arrived, with Noodles, who is mixing with us a lot better now. They had fun exploring while the humans walked round chatting and complaining about the mud and rain, which had started. There are benches for them to sit on while us dogs play on the agility equipment. As usual, I was sad to leave. But I think the Humans were glad!

To book it is £10 for 50 minutes, with 10 minutes turnaround time.
