Stormy’s Adventures; Harrisons Rocks, Eridge, Kent

By Stormy the Dog

Mum has started taking me on a new walk lately. Apparently she has been there lots of times before and she even did some rock climbing.

There’s lots to see and smell here and Mum likes the fact that she doesn’t have to dodge lots of dog poo as it’s so clean.

Depending on the time of day it can be very peaceful but at other times we see people climbing the rocks and other dogs with their humans.

I’ve introduced myself to a few dogs by sniffing their bums. That’s how we say Hello.

It’s a lovely place to run around. The Uckfield to London Bridge train runs alongside it and also the steam and old diesel trains from the spa Valley Railway. They spook me a bit but Mum likes waving to them.

At this time of the year (October) there are lots of interesting fungi to be seen. And Mum spent ages collecting chestnuts. I had to wait for her to throw my ball.

The giant rocks here make it a popular area for climbers. It’s amazing how the rocks ended up there!

You can walk down some steps between them.

The main car park, which is a Pay and Display, has toilets there. There aren’t any round the walk.

We would definitely recommend a lovely walk and/or a climb at this picturesque area.
