Cheesy Garlic Bread Sharing Ring

By Lyn Funnell

I suddenly thought up this recipe and it’s proved a great success!

1 loaf of sliced bread, crusts cut off to leave a square.

NB Don’t waste the crusts. Blitz them into breadcrumbs & dry them in the oven.

Marge or butter. Approx 4ozs/120g

Garlic to taste.

Approx 4ozs/120gs grated cheese.

I used High Weald Dairy’s Medita. I didn’t want a strong cheese. I wanted a background flavour.

Slight seasoning.

Mix all the ingredients well together.

Butter the bread slices, then gently fold them in half.

Press them together & arrange them in a round baking dish, open side upright, pushing them together & filling the dish.

Cover with tinfoil & bake in an oven 200c.

Serve as an accompaniment to any meal.

The next day I had a few left. I filled them with some more garlic butter & crisped them up in our George Forman Grill.

They were completely different and absolutely delicious!

You could serve them as finger food.
