When we left to go on holiday, we were worried that some of our plants had died as they were just brown twigs.
But returning after a week’s holiday, everywhere was a completely different sight. Plants and trees had burst into life. It’s lovely to see!
The bluebells in the wood behind our house seem to be thicker than ever this year, and I’ve never smelt such a gorgeous strong perfume from them before. I just stand there and inhale it.
The white wood anemones amongst them make a lovely colour contrast against the blue.
We have a pink aser tree in our garden and I really wondered if it was dead as it seemed to have no life in it.
But now it’s pink and blooming, alive as can be.
The cherry tree and the apple tree have survived all the strong winds this year, so let’s hope we get a large crop of fruit.
Tulips have popped out everywhere although they didn’t flower at all last year.
My one worry is the roses that don’t have any buds on them, although they bloomed all through the winter.
But it’s early days and you never know what Mother Nature is going to do!
