H. M. ‘Mike’ Haffner was born in Scotland of English parents, but has lived in Sussex for most of his life. Having lived briefly in Sweden, he speaks a little Swedish along with a smattering of French
and Italian Mike skis, sails, rides a motorbike and admits ruefully to doing all of these things with great enthusiasm - but little real ability. Now retired from a varied career, mostly sales and training, it was a logical step to transfer his verbal linguistic knowledge to the written word, and now writes short stories and articles.
