Voco equates to a plethora of greenery

Formerly called the Holiday Inn Winchester, it was rebranded to ‘Voco Winchester Hotel & Spa‘ off the back of an eight months renovation project in 2024, and the rebranding is certainly befitting of the sparkle and charm the Hotel now has. Indeed, the new Spa, branded ‘Ana Spa‘ provide a spacious, sumptuous and steam fuelled experience! Moreover, they limit the number of people to 12 at any given time in the Spa, meaning you can easily make multiple visits to the Sauna, Steam Room, Foot Massage Jets and Hydropool. Furthermore, the staff were very flexible with the time allocations to utilise the facilities.

Decor and finish with sustainability in mind

The location of Voco Winchester within the vicinity of South Downs National Park is reflected in the fact that the Hotel renovation was done with a vision of sustainability and yet it has not compromised the glowing communal area décor and the ambience of the 131 Hotel rooms. Indeed, the room’s telephone depicts a classic 70s look and the wall art is illustrating a green movement with a landscape of vibrant colours. Furthermore, the hotel is surrounded by private farmland, and if you are fortunate enough, you will see delightful donkeys grazing!

Delectable lamb shank

The Hotel’s dining facilities centre on the Kitchen 21 restaurant, that is famous (or notorious) for its 21 inch Pizza with up to 15 toppings! Pizza lovers will struggle to go elsewhere to meet their cravings. Whether you are a meat lover or a lifestyle changer, there are meat and vegan options galore. Elsewhere on the culinary delight offering, is a tender Lamb Shank dish with optimal vegetables and beer battered Fish and Chips.

From a dessert perspective, the Apple Charlotte leaves you tasting the fresh scent of the surrounding National Parks with golden delicious Apples morphed into copious Sauce Anglaise. This is a highly satisfying offering to round off your dining experience.

Premium rooms with an open plan theme

The main lobby has a glitzy sized bar and chillout area with snazzy stools and cosy sofas. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and roses. As you approach the Hotel entrance, there is a mini roundabout, not for cars to circle around, but for an Autumn fusion of Trees!
