La Dehesa Experiencas; Fabulous Glamping in Spain

By Rachel Webb

La Dehesa Experiencias Cabin

La Dehesa Experiencias – six stilted african-style framed cabins with fabric sides and roof and six fully glazed tubes, all private and with their own dip pools –  sit in this 27 hectare reserve of holm oak forests, pine woods and olive groves which is also delegated starlight destination in the Sierra Morena mountain range in the province of  Córdoba, Andalucia, Spain. A place where nature abounds, with the background sounds of rustling and bird song and a heavy stillness surrounds where relaxing just happens.

Deck and Pool View

Huge views reign and the sky a vast openess which calms the soul in this bit of Andalucia. We´re far removed from the beach bars and noisy coastal strip or the fabulous and famous three Moorish cities of Cordoba Granada and Sevilla. Although Cordoba city is a 40 minute drive away if a touch of culture is required.

Relax on your own deck with sunbeds and settees, watch the light of day fade and the heavens start to twinkle with thousands of stars. Dine from the local products in your cupboard or fridge, local wines too or order dinner which arrives by electric golf buggy to your cabin´s dining table. Your individual breakfast tray also arrives at your desired time by buggy. No vehicles are allowed in the cabin and tube areas to keep the noise and intrusions to a minimum. You and your bags are transported from your car to your accommodation and vice versa by buggy too.

An experience it is, totally relaxing, at one with nature, which you can view while showering – one way glass and no curtains means an early night because you´ll wake with the rising of the sun. Our one night there was not enough, we will return.
