Located moments from Tower Bridge, St. Katharine Docks is London’s largest marina and a hidden gem in London. The location welcomes millions of visitors annually to its unique combination of working marina, waterside dining, and year-round cultural programming. Spring marks the beginning of the estate’s outdoor season, when the historic docks truly show why they’ve remained a central London destination for nearly 200 years.
From mid-March through mid-May, the marina gets its spring makeover of blooming walkways, longer daylight hours, and a packed calendar of Easter activities all playing out beside the historic Thomas Telford architecture next to Tower Bridge.
The spring programme runs the gamut: seasonal florals across the estate, family egg-decorating workshops, live floating jazz club experience, and artisan markets along the quayside. It’s when the docks properly come alive again.
The Swan Guardians’ Free Easter Egg Quest
Running 30 March – 5 April (10am-5pm daily), families can tackle the estate’s annual Easter egg hunt, combining a trail of six riddles leading seekers across the marina in search of scattered eggs belonging to the mythical Swan King and Swan Queen. Pick up your Egg Card at the Coronarium, solve the clues, collect stamps at each location, and return with all six for a chocolate prize plus access to the egg-decorating workshops. It’s free to participate and works for all ages, though younger detectives might need backup with the riddles.
Easter at the Coronarium
Drop into the Coronarium any time between 30 March and 12 April for free egg-decorating workshops. Kids can design their own colourful eggs with all materials provided with helpers are on hand in the two-tier venue to guide the chaos.
The Easter holidays also sees Panda Coffee taking over the lower level, serving their specialty hot drinks and bubble tea. It’s a good spot for a break whether you’re recovering from the egg hunt or need sustenance between creative sessions and strolling the estate.
Easter Floating Jazz Club
The floating pontoon hosts two jazz sessions over Easter weekend after selling out the entire winter run. Artist in residence Olivia Swann returns, this time with Jazz King pianist Jamie Safir (who’s worked with Kylie Minogue, Laufey, and Jessie Ware) and bassist Flo Moore (Alfa Mist, Jordan Rakei). Jazz FM’s Vocalist of the Year Marvin Muoneke joins as special guest.
Saturday evening (6:30pm-8:30pm) catches that golden hour when the yacht lights start twinkling across the basin. Sunday afternoon (4pm-6pm) is more relaxed, better for families. Both sessions include a glass of Nyetimber on arrival and seasonal bites from The Melusine throughout.

Spring Market on Marble Quay
The Easter Market brings artisan traders to Marble Quay. Browse handpicked vendors tempting global cuisine whilst the spring sun (hopefully) makes an appearance along the waterfront. From fragrant Asian street food to classic Mediterranean favourites and indulgent sweet treats, there is something to satisfy every palate. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, discover unique culinary delights, and soak up the waterside views as you explore the world’s flavours right in the heart of London.
Spring Florals Installation
Across the entire estate, spring blooms transform the marina walkways and public spaces. The seasonal floral installation runs throughout the two-month programme, creating a softer, warmer aesthetic as daylight hours extend and the waterside terraces come back to life.
